More Positive Clinical Results for SAIPH® Knee

More Positive Clinical Results for SAIPH® Knee

Monday, December 19, 2016

A/Prof. Bill Walter (Mater Hospital, Sydney) reported on the outcomes from 225 patients in 4 centres from the UK and Australia at this year's AOA & NZOA combined meeting in Cairns.

Results showed an increase in range of motion (ROM) from 107º to 124º and a significant and impressive gain across all scores from pre-op to 2-year follow-up. Improved outcomes were well distributed across the cohort with 95% of patients achieving good or excellent results.

Of note, A/Prof. Walter reported that his own patients reported no difference in satisfaction when compared to his hip patients, which is not usually expected. He suggested that the excellent results from this latest data may be associated with the unique level of stability provided and previously demonstrated.
