Superior MRK™ Outcomes are Maintained at Latest Follow-up...

Friday, December 16, 2016

Superior outcomes for the MRK™ when compared to the PFC-Sigma were reported in 20111. At this year’s AOA ASM, Professor FS Haddad, who led the original study, provided an update on the outcomes for the same patients.

Professor Haddad (UCL, London) concluded that the medial rotation concept in knee implant design confers: better ROM, improvement in high-end function (TKFQ), and a higher proportion of “forgotten knees‟.

  1. Hossain F, Patel S, Rhee SJ, Haddad FS. Knee arthroplasty with a medially conforming ball-and-socket tibiofemoral articulation provides better function. Clin Orthop Relat Res. 2011; 469(1):55-63.
