The 19th EFORT Congress takes place this week in Barcelona 30 May to 01 June 2018 and is billed as the largest platform for European Orthopaedic professionals to exchange knowledge and experience within Europe and with overseas colleagues.
The main theme of the congress is ‘Innovation and New Technologies’, which will showcase, amongst others, advanced implant technologies.
We are delighted to share that two papers will be presented at the meeting; these describe work recently carried out by The Freeman Hospital in Newcastle that add to the excitement around the new ReCerf™ Hip Resurfacing Arthroplasty. Both papers concern aspects of using ceramic monoblock components, femoral heads and acetabular cups, with no metal components and will be presented by Mr Adam Farrier.
